Actually adding to my Bleach recommendation, look into Kenpachi's character (maybe specifically the first fight we see him in, against Ichigo? He was pretty powerful then and he sliced a building in half. xD; )

Mm... you also might want to try looking at Shizuo Heiwajima from DRRR!! He's immensely powerful and shrugs off injuries such as being shot in the legs pretty easily. As far as anyone knows, he's practically invincible. He sort of causes destruction by throwing things such as lampposts and vending machines (if thats anything close to having the settings suffer. ^^;; )

In all seriousness, I will say it has even more devastation than Heroic Age.

i really didn't think that ttgl had a lot of "devastation" most of the fights were pretty evenly matched until simon or kamina spewed some ridiculous line and proceeded to beat up the other guy in a decently clean manner,
Spoiler :
but even when they turned into something more powerful than god they still didn't really "devastate," in fact...they still got pretty devastated until simon, yet again, spewed some motivational speech and went for the guy's throat, however, the last explosion is pretty devastating-y-ish.

i guess when they fight the anti-spirals in space, the polygon ones, that's some devastation, but i can't see TTGL being the epitamy of "devastation"

or maybe i have a different idea of devastation than you guys.

casshern sins on the other hand, is a 24 episode devastation fest. that's about the only thing about the anime that isn't shit.

Afro samurai too, 90% afro unrealistically owning everything in sight with his sword.

Devastation is arbitrary
I was just thinking along the lines of massive explosions.

Oh and Rahxephon might have some of what your looking for.

If you wanna get ancient, say early 80's, try Space Runaway Ideon. It features a giant mecha named Ideon that continues to grow stronger and stronger to the end of the series. Throughout its span, it
Spoiler :
destroys an entire planet by cutting it in half with its giant sword, uses a cannon that literally creates a black hole, and, at the very end of the series, it destroys the entire universe along with itself, killing every remaining cast member as their spirits float through what remains of the universe in hopes of finding a new planet.

Sadly, this series has NEVER been licensed anywhere out west and the series itself is out of print and difficult as hell to find, so it defeats the purpose of making an AMV out of it.

Still, it took me an hour to remember what the damn name of it was, and I was determined to bring it up.

Maybe Baccano? Where death doesn't really seem to matter. I'll tell you my psychadelic tendancys were fully satisfied, if only for a moment, after watching that show.

Sailormoon ep 200.

Laugh if you want, but she defeats Galactica and restores virtually everyone back to life.

I call that some ultimate power and being indestructible.

It's not always something you measure in weapons and armour.

Enough said.

I have heard this anime many times and I still haven't watched, (I probably will soon). If it isn't a problem can you describe why you suggested this anime since I haven't seen it yet.

Because its home of all things manly.

In all seriousness, I will say it has even more devastation than Heroic Age. The progression of the show and main character was executed flawlessly until it got to the point of epically spanning across multiple galaxies within the universe, similar to heroic age. I probably can't put it better than tvtropes, "Thus begins a rollercoaster ride of Fanservice, over-the-top fight scenes between mecha, hot-bloodedness, epic sunglasses, massive Badassery, and mind-blowing heroism."

I've seen both Gurren Lagann and Heroic age, and I will say that they do rival each other in epicness. Loved them both and can't recommend Gurren Lagann enough!

Fair enough then. I will definitely check it out.

I see your point of view and honestly speaking, I didn't originally thought of it that way so I guess you right about 'It's not always something you measure in weapons and armour'.

lol thing is it satisfys the god-like specification, but it's a comedy lol that's why it's funny. Very little devastation to be found... unless you include images of 'Guuzila' comicaly rampaging in a city or ppl being eaten alive and spit back out whole. The devastation aspect is really comical so I really doubt it'd be what your looking for. Might be though lol.

I highly suggect Baccano though.

Even if comical, as long as it is still a type of devastation I guess it can count and devastation can be interpret in a number of ways as I have seen from all of the suggestions. Also I am checking out Baccano now because I have seen the name appear more times than just here.
