I know its probably too early to answer, but what is usually an average score to make it into the finals? I imagine at least in the high 3s if not 4.0 and higher :p

It would depend on the category and how many entries qualified for the category.

The average score to make it in is usually really low most years. We're all old, jaded, and hate everything. Get off my lawn. Don't listen to Jeffreys, the category has little, if anything to do with the "final cut" score. There's usually VERY little video shuffling that takes place after everything is ordered from highest to lowest and the DQs/Trolls are dumped.

Also, votes are tallied, Gambitt background checked everything. Final DQ list will be announced tomorrow. Contest DVD will be given to Phoenix Wright on Saturday. So long as there are no OBJECTIONS! then the finalist list will be published as soon as I hear back from him. As is usually the case with blind judging, very interesting results... :awesome:

Ahhhh, I'm so nervous! I wonder so much if my trailer made the cut! I really, really, really hope it did.
>_<

Can we get any idea as to how many entries per category there were?

Out of curiosity... I'm assuming the watermarked footage means a logo watermark in the corner? Because after my YT account got suspended, I did a little reading and I found out about digital watermarks that companies stick in their video footage, and bots pick them up so they can bahleet videos from YT. But I'm pretty sure those watermarks are only for the bots.

If they're not, we're all screwed. :P

BRB breathing huge sigh of relief. I was a tad worried about mine as there's some blood in it, but then again I'm sort of a total newbie to entering amv contests...the only one I entered before was a goofy comedy...so perhaps there's way bloodier ones or the one I had was considered tame? Anywho does that mean as it wasn't DQ'd I get the three l33t tickets for the AMV showing? Or does it have to get into the final contest to get the three l33t tickets?

Regardless even if it doesn't make the final cut everyone I've showed it to loved it. ^_^ I am curious though...if you win, do you get a prize?
