I know which judge I am in the list :awesome:

edit: haze's video may have sucked.. but in the judging criteria it fit everything, I marked him down on sync because the lip sync was lazy as hell..

edit again: actually pretty happy to see the final results were pretty in line with my opinions. >_>

Kinda might mean the criteria is a little unbalanced though, no ?

If you have any suggestions for how the judging criteria could be improved upon, I am more than open to suggestions for future events.

eh, I don't think so. Reda was being a troll, and haze went with it, it sucks but if the roles were flipped you wouldn't be complaining.

edit: it's kinda funny, you can tell which one is code... he's so nice :3

Idk I just dont think someone should just be able to pull 3rd place when obviously they were just joking around when other people's vids actually had alot more effort in them :/ Oh well, doesnt really matter since no one got the boot this round.

yah, which kinda sucks. And place is only based on score, if I had to rate the videos based on which ones I think deserved each place, it would look a lot different.

MycathatesyouAMV wrote:Honestly I am really puzzled by Judge A's scores. 18 points in originality for HazeFM and a 1 for Visual Quality and 9 points in accurate tribute for my vid ? Placements were messed up this round. Arashinome I though shouldve been higher and Haze at 3rd Wtf ?

Judge A is me.
HazeFM's video was pretty original imho: he was given some rather strict and trollish guidelines and was able to pull something amusing and different out of them, you can't deny that fact.
Your video was dedicated to Enigma, right? Here's why quality was 1: Haruhi is a telecined anime, so you had to IVTC, but instead you full field deinterlaced, and very poorly at that, so a lot of jaggies were left, and the framerate was sloppy since instead of being 23.976 it was 29.97. That isn't all though. You obvious EXAGGERATED the awarpsharp. Lines were distorted incredibly, just... look at the background at 00:57, for example: those aren't even stars anymore, just... lines in the sky. Since you used the first awarpsharp, it produced the green bug on the left side of the video, too, and it is noticeable, but you didn't bother fixing it. The video also looks rather sterile: I seem to recall richer gradients and more details from the show, so I get the feeling you randomly tossed a deen at it too. The x264 settings don't seem bad (although the old build and complete lack of psy-rd aren't exactly something to be happy about), so I doubt the detail lack was due to bad encoding settings. And to finish it off, the song is just cut off at the end. It might have been a rendering issue or whatever, but it still doesn't deny the fact that's a sudden audio ending that could and should have been better.
For the accurateness I settled for 9 points because this is what Enigma requested:
1.Something melow or fast and powerful
2.Upbeat/Comedy
3.Simple editing/Metal|Pop/Final Fantasy|FLCL

What I was presented with was a generic light hearted fun amv. I don't think it really belongs with the 1st point. 2nd point was somewhat winged so it was partially fine. 3rd point again it was just partial ─ the simple editing was respected, but the song's 60s rock, not quite what I'd expect from a request of metal or pop. And the show was clearly neither final fantasy nor flcl. I gave you almost 1/4th of the total accuracy points, and I think that seeing it in this light it makes sense.
Don't take this as a personal attack nor anything. What I'm judging is the video, and this is what I see. Feel free to disagree with me if you want, but I at least hope this clarified what my point of view is.

Yeah I was honestly thinking I would be last, but third. I feel good. :asd:

Edit2:

Edit3:

Last edit I promise :uhoh: .
I had edited Matt's video with full intent, even if it sucked. I didn't half ass that after people started dropping regardless what you may think, and I would have done more but it was way too fucking boring.

Actually, if any of you have ever watched Project Runway [what this contest was based off of/created], at least every episode you have the talented fashion designers get some really bitchy lady that wants them to make them somebody so out there and wild that it turns into utter shit.

For example, a bride wanted THIS as her wedding dress [even went so far as to draw it exactly like that], and the designer's hands were tied, because he was forced to make it EXACTLY to her specifications. He was actually not eliminated, even though it was by far the worst design of the round [and sits in the project runway top 5 worst designs ever], and somebody else went home who created a cookie-cutter wedding dress.

So, sometimes you just have eat shit waffles and play with the cards you are dealt. [This was more or less an example of where the project came from, and it's actually a great deal of where most of how it is run comes from]

Anyway, it ultimately didn't matter since nobody was eliminated.

Can we give it the full happy ending, or should we leave it at just the potential?
