Hello, Help flash in the video

Post by ExiliaEths » Wed Jun 30, 2010 11:56 pm

First, sorry if I'm in the wrong area, I'm new here on the forum.
Hello everybody, I see AMV's with an incredible quality of editing and always had a doubt about the two effects
1st For those who know should be very simple, look in the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CVqnFoF ... _i1hP1Izr8

At the time of 1:24 seconds the guy takes a kick in the face and the image is "paralyzed" according to the music and then the scene continues, the question is, how can I stop a particular scene from a movie and then continue the scene when want?

My second question is regarding a flash, it is probably used sony vegas for this
Watch the video to 0.15 to 0.16 seconds and again at 0.18 to 0.19 seconds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZqszMpV ... 2-jsTFsRps

It has a flash blinking rapidly, could someone tell me how to do this or the name of this tool or plugin?:
I use sony vegas 9
Thanks guys: D :book:

above the preview you got on the right side an option to save the picture, you can save the picture on a particular moment,it will be automtomatically imported into your project media. Drag the picture into the timeline. For the flashes i am not so sure,it's too quick for my eyes...

Video 1
He used velocity to freeze the clip. If your using Sony vegas here's how to do it
Step 1: Import your clip in vegas.
Step 2: Go to the exact spot you want to freeze your clip.
Step 3: Cut the clip at the exact frame you want to freeze it at.
Step 4: Right click on the clip and click "Insert/Remove Envelope"
Here's an image if your lost: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm17 ... reeze1.png
Step 5: Now click on "Velocity" and there should be a green line which appeared on the spot your want to freeze. Also a square at the beginning of the clip.
Step 6: Now right click on the square and go to "set to"
Image: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm17 ... reeze2.png
Step 7: Click on "set to" and there should be a number which shows type in "0" and hit the enter button.

And your done |:>

And there you have it, Carlyxjack method can also work but you lose some quality in the process if you use velocity the quality stays the same.

Video 2

He just used a transition "Flash". Just cut the clips where you want them the flash and put in the flash transition. You are then able to adjust the flashes so they match the beat of the song.

and that's all! :)

Sorry for the late reply but for the flashes it's:
1. Go to the Brightness and Contrast.
2. Select Reset to None
3. Make a keyframe in the first frame, make it 70 on the Brightness
4. On the next frame, insert a keyframe and put it back at 0.
5. Basically just copy and paste the keyframes over and over again.

Sony already knows that this issue has many solutions and one of them is mouse wheel enabled:
Image
just go to the right hand side and press the "right +" button to make it larger. then, while your mouse is over the section in question,
as indicated by where your marker is located, scroll the wheel towards your hand and the Audio zooms-in to "that" location.

8-) the worlds most simple solution to sync problems are peeks and valleys; peeks are your beats. 8-)
