Re: Nekocon AMV Contest 2010
Please do not send any video files with a bitrate of over 9000kbps
Was that done for lulz purposes or is 9000kbps an actual reference? Because most contest I think that allow up to 15000kbps total (video and audio together).
Also, is 29.97 just progressive, or does 23.976 telecined to 29.97 count as fine?

Our contest is mastered to DVD for purposes of playing at the convention, and the highest bitrate you can play in a DVD player is 9kbps. 29.97 is progressive, but we *MAY* be able to work with a telecined project. We'd have to look into what the DVD authoring software can support. Please do not send any video files with a bitrate of over 9000kbps

Just a friendly Reminder. Don't let the contest sneak up on you. We are currently taking submissions. Deadline is October 6th.

OK - using a guide I found there (http://dvd-hq.info/dvd_compression.php), I seem to have created an acceptable Mpeg-2. I went ahead and let TMPGEnc do the audio, and it seems to be OK as MP2.lilith2003tr wrote:A great website to use is http://www.videohelp.com/ it has excellent tools and tips for video formatting.
I am looking forward to the FTP info.
