@fullmetal_Shorty23 : We will contact everyone who entered to let them know if their videos will be screened on Friday (main contest) or Sunday (overflow). We hope to be able to show every video that was submitted, but we received so many, we're having to ask for more time for overflow... >_< For folks who can't make it, we'll post the winners shortly after they are announced at the con.

Thanks again to everyone who entered! ^_^

I was at the closing ceremonies when they announced the winners. I don't remember them all, but the AMV with the ytmnd theme won best parody. The AMV to the song Springtime for Hitler won most unique (they said something about finding one video every year that is very unique and different from everything else). One of the people on the stage knew the guy and they called him and put him on speaker to speak to the crowd, it was epic! My video (Evangelion 0.11 Shinji is (Not) the Boss) won best comedy and Spike Spencer actually came over and shook my hand after hearing the title of it, lol...that was pretty cool as well...oddly, out of all the awards they had to hand out, I was the first person they announced that was actually there, and that was 10 awards in, lol!

Unless the online list is wrong and just teasing me, Betwixt and Between got best Romance, which I'm really excited about, and thanks to everybody that voted/judged for it. :awesome:

Nice, I didn't know they had the list posted already! There were prizes, and they said they were going to mail them to the address provided to those who were not there. The prize was a bag of stuff and $25 in cash. I don't know if they are all the same, but the bag had 3 posters from the Japan Foundation, a little plastic map thing of Japan, golf tees, 2 tickets to Adventure Landing in Raleigh, some kind of folder thing that on it is an advertisement for some webstie that Puffy AmiYumi are pushing, and two actual advertisement flyers (lol).

Correction, it's not some movie ad, it's an ad for some website now that I look at it, lol...Puffy AmiYumi are advertising a travel website for traveling to Japan, lol!

It was epic on my end, too. It's strange enough to get a call from Toshi out of the blue like that, and even more so when he says it's because my AMV won an award at a contest. Winning something is surprising enough, but I practically scratched the remaining hairs off my head in bewilderment when he told me I won for Unique, since I know I had entered it in Parody (thanks so much for explaining the reason why). Then, as if to lay down the last stairstep on my descent into madness, he tells me I'm on speakerphone with the entire con, and to say something. I nearly fainted from the sheer absurdity of it, but the cheering audience on the other end of the line kept me from swooning.

Did they really like the video that much, or was I being punked?

Yeah, everyone liked your video at the con! Just FYI, you were on speakerphone the entire time

1st runner up in Drama...I can live with that :) .

I doubt runners up get anything, if we do then great, if not it's all good, as I said before just to have it shown is enough for me.

Nice, that one was mine. Congratulations everyone, it sounds like it was a wild contest.

I wasn't there, and my friends didn't make it to see who won. Are we gonna get a list of winners and runners up? I entered a video into Comedy (That's Your Furuba for Today).

Look earlier up in the page, an online list of winners and runners-up were linked by Code.

You got 1st runner up in Comedy btw.
