Old news. Discussed already etc.
This picture has been floating around for over a year already.

At this point I'm just peeved that each one is taking so long. Two years between each movie release is more than I can take. By the time the last movie comes out, I'll be in grad school, and the free time to watch anime will be a distant memory.

I don't see why this is so surprising; there were lots of things about the first Rebuild that strongly hinted (especially in dialogue, which that screenshot above partially shows) that something a little fishy is going on. The idea of the world being cyclical and all...heck, it's [not really, but suspect] that there's a bit of RE:TAKE in there. Especially the 'two different Asukas' idea. They'd never openly admit that, though.

I think most that had watched the original simply approach Rebuild not as a retelling of the original, but as a totally alternate universe (without the lolwut? factor of the other spinoffs/AUs); whether it ties itself back to EoE is just icing on the cake.

RE:TAKE was awesome, they would be crazy not to steal the idea. :amv:

An almost decent DVD rip raw is out. Only a matter of time until we get a high quality sub.

I'm giving it till the weekend. I would be surprised if nobody takes the existing camrip subs and just throws them on half decent raw within the next couple of days.

The existing camrip subs are for 2.0, not 2.22. They can be used as a template, but not the final product, because of the changes.

Lo and behold. The first sub is up using subs ripped from the camrip. This is progress.
Now we await a high quality raw.

As I had heard, the Zeruel fight was on par with the Ramiel fight. I had expected it to blow me away into another dimension of epic that nothing like it ever had, but thats what I get for getting my hopes too high. It was still epic.

Current best sub is youhei's sub applied to d-raws' 1080p raw. They used the camrip subs as a template, so there are no subs for the two new scenes, but the scenes aren't greatly significant and aren't very long. The subs and audio sync perfectly if you use VLC player.

2.22 BD GET!

I would just like to point out that my film strip did not contain Asuka. Just like 1.0 I get a random scene. Darn. One can only wonder how much the strips with any of Asuka's infamous scenes will be fetching on yahoo jp auctions.

Spoiler :
2.22 BD blew me away.

I came.. 9 times. Would've been 10 if it wasn't for the design of Eva 02's "beast mode".
