STATIC EFFECT (AE)

Post by Ozair » Sun Apr 25, 2010 7:47 pm

I've been wondering for a while on how Warheart or even Decoy make those sexy static fx.. example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJoERrvwchY - 00:50
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFMc06xo ... re=related - 00:24 (Various parts of the vid)

If anyone can help me I'd much appreciate it (V)

I think they both used... Riot Gear..(TV Noise FX footage)

http://www.videocopilot.net/products/riotgear/

They didn't actually create the static themselves, they simply used premade static footage

All they did was overlay the (premade static footage) onto anime footage..Done

It would be also much better. Everyone's abusing riot gear and evolution, so all vids end up looking the same. If you put the extra effort to create your own noise in some way, you're making a step to make your video look a bit different and unique in a way. It's not saying much, but still. :P

Also I found out another thing; the plugin in After FX called "DE malfuction" gives it more of a decoy/warheart look ^^
