This effect.. over used?

I heard that this effect at 0:52 was overused. But I haven't find the plugin any where.. Can anybody give me a downloadlink or sum.

if i were to go about it, i would just use several layers of text behind a mask, nothing too complicated. it would probably be a bit time consuming, though.

I think there is some evolution-like preset with those random numbers and codes showing up because I saw them in a lot of vids and they are literally identical in font etc... I just don't know what the thing is called, though.
