Clamp is being Clamp again.

I feel out of the loop for having not seen Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.

Latest episode was without a doubt the best of the series.

I... I'm not sure about that. So far the early episodes have been my favorites (especially the one with the young girl, guy, and how they ended up walking under an umbrella together.)
Spoiler :
The only difference between episode 22 and the rest of the episodes was that Kobato's feelings for Fujimoto became more apparent. The depressing slowness was still there, and the time limit was mentioned again.

I'll say that even by the end of this, this series is at least average. It needed more though. =|

Double post, sorry.

I watched the final two episodes, which could arguably be the best two episodes in the entire anime.
I wasn't feeling the ending, though.
Spoiler :
I loved the concept that she was dead and wanted to be reborn, but Fujimoto's actions just didn't convince me enough. I know the manga is ongoing, so I'm honestly wondering if this was like a point in the manga? From what I've heard, not a lot has happened. Did they make the ending up?
Also, did anyone besides me find it a little random and possibly stupid that Kobato's one wish was to be reborn with the one she loved when she hadn't even met the one she loved when she made that wish? I thought she was going to Heaven or something to meet up with some guy she really cared about! When she met Fujimoto, I imagined it would be her father or something (becase clearly she wanted to tell Fujimoto she loved him.)

Aaargh. This anime had so much potential, but the execution was just plain ridiculous.

latest episode was lame.

Spoiler :
I've read the manga, and still am, and I must say, since episode 6 it has been nothing like the manga. Kobato doesn't even have 8 pieces of candy in her bottle yet. Domoto doesn't like her, or rather it hasn't been revealed if its true. Kobato has realized her love for Fujimoto, but that's where the last chapter left off, basically. Last few at least. Half the stuff that happens in the anime does not happen in the manga. The anime was overall muuuuuuuch too fast. And I agree, I don't think Fujimoto was convincing at all, prolly because it was just too fast. All the progress made in the anime is completely made up as far as I am concerned, unless they have contact with the mangakas so they don't mess up the anime, which I hope they do.
It was interesting while it lasted, because I did want to see Kobato and Fujimoto's relationship develop more. The manga is just slow, so I watched the anime as a substitute. It's just lame though. The manga will end differently I bet. Hopefully better than this anime will.

The finale wasn't that bad, I must say. The animation was really good this episode. My only complaint is that the whole series was way too fast and strayed far from the manga. I'm hoping for a more original ending from CLAMP, and a longer manga than the anime, but for a 24 episode series, they did pretty good.

There were many things that were changed and many things this anime needed to make it complete, imho. I know for a fact Ioryogi and Kobato have more of a relationship than they conveyed in the anime. I'd really like some more of their story in the manga :/ That was a disappointment for me. But I guess when you start an anime series when the manga has less than 20 chapters out, that's what you get. Also, Kobato and Fujimoto's whole ordeal was too tedious in the anime. She's messing around more than half the time, then it's like "Epiphany! I love Fujimoto!" It wasn't well-balanced in the anime. What's weird is that she gets 500 candy for every person she heals apparently. In the manga it's not even fall yet, I don't think, and she has like 8 candy in her bottle. But what's odd is it's tedious in the anime, not the manga.

I guess the fact that I'm reading the manga holds me back from really enjoying this series. It's like a good fanfiction though, the anime. I've been dying to see some Fujimoto x Kobato huggles in the manga, and I just don't get any ):

As for the final episode itself, pretty good. Nothing much to complain about. I'm glad it didn't end with Kobato never meeting Fujimoto again, because I'm too much of a sap for that. I'd die, and say this whole series was worthless for such a ending. So yeah, I'm glad for that. And like I said, the animation was better in this episode than any other.

So yeah. Overall, a 6.5/10. Everything leading up to this moment was really lame, so I think the finale made it better for me. I just love this manga and the anime had some worthwhile material for me to edit with, too.

Also, I loved the return of Ioryogi. |:>
