Spinning cookie cutters :<

Is there a way to do rotating cookie cutters on Vegas, or would I have to mask out the shape and make it spin? :|

You can make it move vertically or horizontally with key frames... as a cookie cutter, but to actually like rotate it around you'll have to do it with masking.

Just keyframe the cookie cutter positions to make it spin around, and pan the event to move along with it. Don't see why you'd need to mask.

Much easier to just draw out a mask shape and then rotate there then to fuck with all that in cookie cutter itself.

Try masking a perfect circle in vegas.
Then again, I haven't tried beziers to make a circle so I wouldn't know how good that'd go.

Or.............Just make a C.C circle and use pan/crop to rotate it?

Or... look into premiere/after effects' track matte, if I understand what you want to do.

Try masking a perfect circle in vegas.
Yeah, that might be impossible :| but I don't use Vegas to mask  anyway, it's not circles I'm trying to make spin around 8D

Thanks for the advice :D

Create a green media generator. Make it the same length as the clip you want your cookie over, then add Chroma Keyer and C.C.

After doing this, chroma the green and your clip will be clear all except the cookie. (As long as your cookie is not the color green.) Now rotate the layer using the layer pan/crop and it should rotate without rotating the original clip.

Then that guitar thingies popped up and went dun dun DUN dun then those box thingies went zooming by and twirling around and shit. Oh god, then the hexagons popped up and I was like 'I just got a stiffie'. Then there was the circle with those thingies going around and I blew my load.
