So far 53 people have expressed interest. That's over half of the 96 person bracket. I think it's safe to go ahead and do the 96 person bracket, considering that I believe far more people will be willing to post once the sign up thread goes live. But as I said before, if the cutoff (88) isn't reached, I'm dropping the 3rd bracket and doing 64. 8 by's is already a lot.

Expect the sign up thread sometime at the end of this week. And remember the sign up thread will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Just because you expressed interest here early on does NOT guarantee you a spot in the brackets.

Is the interest gauge over? Can I still express my interest?

I am interested.

There, I expressed it. Nothing you can do. Lock the thread.

I'm in like a gender-confused bunny in a mouse on mating period.

Mouse being blabbler.

I think this interest gauge could be in the MEP section instead, lots of people might miss it here..

Or like, make a banner so we can pimp this thread! 96 participants would be awesome.

Edit: Oh, ignore that. Hadn't realised this thread has no real effect on the final number of participants.

But it isn't an MEP...

(which raises the question of why Project: Editor is in the MEP forum, but that's neither here nor there...)

Well, it's a contest the final result of which Is a MEP!

I see project:blabbler as more of a MEP series with rankings than an actual contest really, as the resulting compilation video seems to matter more than who wins and whatnot..

Well technically a mep is a multiple editor project. So technically lol the contest can be considered a project. And that project involves multiple editors lol.

Did any of last contest get put together as a final video? I know you'd wanted to do that Brad, but wasn't sure if you did.

:uhoh: ....

heh.. mmmm yeah I don't think that's happening. Sorry!

But just a heads up, the tournament IS still happening. I've been super busy with work and school lately and I'm trying to get the preparations all put together.

I will say this though. Jon (Metro) has graciously agreed to donate a huge stack of DVDs (mostly anime) as prizes. So you'll be able to look forward to that :)
