what is the best settings to get hd videos using sony vegas?

You export using this guide here.

Then it depends on whether you want to compress to XviD or MP4

Always export you're video as close to you're source :|.And best way to export is either Uncompressed or with a losless codec like Lagarith or Huffy,Then compressing it using VirtualDub/Zarx264gui.

please tell me this isn't a Utube compression question. :|. to compress hd you would go wit a hd aspect ratio....in order to do that is resize in vdubmod

well first of all you got to have HD footage to get the best HD quality, 2nd you didn't even state your question clearly.
