Should say something about the lack of textures on some of the 3-D models, but eh... i liked the vid too much so no big deal. I liked the reflections on the floor, why? I dunno, just like seeing stuff like that.
Hot sizzle
Pas wrote:<Pas> wow oro
<Pas> that was nice
<Pas> there were a few things that bugged me though
<Pas> but it was some top-notch effort into a concept
To expand on this, I really enjoyed the extra effort into executing your concept. Really would love to see more stuff like it.
As I mentioned, there were a few things that bothered me, some of which would be simple to fix, others perhaps not so. One of the largest concerns for me was the projected screens. I felt like some more touch-ups could have made them much more integrated than simply appearing to be slapped into the scene. Even a thin frame around each would have helped greatly. Perhaps some light-flickering too would have been effective.
Other than that and some small nitpicks I really enjoyed this, well-executed and planned out. Very nicely done

Maybe just not my type of video.

Also, props for using Naruto, i loved it.
Corran wrote:I really enjoyed this video. The textures in the 3d world are fine, imo. If anything they add more contrast between the robot's world and the world/experiences it wishes it was a part of.
Mastamind wrote::up: Great job, liked the theme and "Bob" came out really well.
Falconone wrote:hey looks really cool, but i dont know this hundrets times of the same pic in one scenes was not my taste... it was to much. would it be different pics so it would be more interessting to look at the pic. Overall a really good video cant say more
Taite wrote:Quite the emotional video, actually. I really liked this a lot.
One of my favorite releases this year.

However, this addition to it seemed.... Off..
I think the effects and Bob were well done, and that the atmosphere was in the right place, but Falcone's complaint about all the pictures together was kind of my same complaint. I know that "Human" was the main focus of the scenery, but new footage in those TV boxes would have added nicely, with "Human"'s footage on the main screen and the central focus, and this would have been more effective. Kisanzi did a similar effect in Lovestruck Radience towards the end like I described, and it turned out well.
Overall, it was a great video and I'll love it for years, but it could have had so much more potential.
ZephyrStar wrote:Impressive. It's really good to see people doing original 3d work! I also thought the concept and execution were top notch, though I do feel that there could have been maybe a little more polish on some of the 3d, or maybe some other way of portraying the video rectangles. The style was very good though, and the actual animation was really good! A lot more fluid than I'm used to seeing in amv's or shorts. Great choice of song for the concept as well. Keep it up!!!

I could nitpick here and there, but everyone is "human"
Exceptional job.
Bakadeshi wrote:nice work :O I liked the idea and most of the execution, I think the only problem i had with it was the 3d seemed too simple, I think some nice texturing wouldve been alot better, (like some kindof metal texture on the robot and rock/concrete texturing on the buildings, etc. and maybe a little more detail on the screens, instead of the simple rectangle (some kind of frame around them maybe? ) in any case, small issues, otherwise an excellent original 3d attempt. I'd like to see what you have in the works next. (kinda inspiring me to work more on my own 3d stuff too :p)
Edit: also I think having each frame show a different scene than them all showing the same stuff repeated, would add some veriety to it and feel less (lazy I guess?) but .... I know how much cpu and memory (and not to mention time to edit every screen seperately) that would take in blender, and may not even be possible without a render farm, or a reeealy powerful PCjust thought I would mention it though ;p

Nira1992 wrote:Unfortunately, I'm not particularly a fan of the song, so I probably would have liked it more if I was. As it is though, I did like it quite a bit and found the concept very good and well presented. It's a lot better than Only Human was.
And all those screens must have taken 30+ layers. Very nice job with those, especially since I don't generally like that effect.
Niwa-kun wrote:I had some hard times getting on this one, to be honest. I thought the 3D was nicely done and good execution on the concept part, but having anime integrate with the 3D world didn't really work out for me.
It was interesting though

Yeah, I reckon this song may not suit everyone. Certainly I can't believe I'm liking it given the fact that it's the same singer of Lithium Flower which I detest. Anyway, layers? What layers? XD... all of those scenes were combined inside Blender so literally took just 1 "layer".
