This was the problem with my build. Though from looking at those pics, I think I see a 4 pin connector plugged in up by the RAM slots. Was looking online for the MoBo, but can't find the same one to compare shots to. Another thing that hindered me in the same way was a short in the AZALIA (or whatever) cable which did the same thing. Strangely, the only way I found it was to pop in a different PSU, turn on and the computer started revving like a car and I saw smoke coming from that cable.
