Adobe After Effect - How do you change video size?

Postby Dizmo » Wed Aug 12, 2009 12:36 am

I'm having some issues changing video size. I export my video to image sequences, but its exactly the same property as my video which is 720x480. But when I put it on vegas, my clips in there are 1280x720. How do I make it so AE stop making the images 720x480 and 1280x720 instead so it will be the same size as my project on vegas?

So if you're still unsure what I'm talking about, here's me trying to explain it again:

My clip is 720x480. I put it in AE and when I click on file...export...image sequence...actually if I export as any format even video formats, it'll automatically save it as the same property which is 720x480. However, in vegas my project is 1280x720. So when I put it in vegas, the image is too small.

How do I change my video size properties in AE or when AE is exporting so it'll be 1280x480?

At the end where I said 1280x480 I meant 1280x720 my bad.

Lets see if l get this right.

You want to stretch it?

When you add to render que, go to "output module" and click on lossless.

You will get properties.

Click on "stretch" and change the size?

Never tried but that might work :? .

Go to composition settings and change your frame size to 720p.

I'm new to AE so how do i put it on render que. I remember before when I'm about to render something it would show me the render loading line but now it doesn't.

I tried what Vivaldi said, works I think.
But its weird when I put the picture sequences from AE into vegas, the pictures are brighter than the clip. Its in PNG as well.

Is PNG the only picture format that allows transparency? I want to make it so that there's a layer of transparency so people won't see the background.

Oh yeah, when I have a png file like an arrow with transparent bg and I put it over my video to show the viewers where to look, when it goes over that area the playback gets all choppy and laggy, is that normal?

Editing is hard enough, editing with lag just plain out suck.
