I learned the basics over like a month or so.

I then tried helping my friend learn, by demonstrating certain features while trying to synch asian porn up with Rammstein.

not sure if he learned much from that.

I took about a week with help from the manual. I'd learned how to edit using Pinnacle Sudio 7... Premiere was a lot different and took a while to get used to. But I learned the basics and how to do overlays and some effects within that week. The motion settings took me a little longer to get used to, and I spent a whole day after the week to figure out how to work avisynth...

I'm still not sure how to use a couple effects I never bothered to try before, but I basically know how to work Premiere enough so that I can make what I want to^_^

I haven't used Premiere 6 yet. I'm still back in 5.1, but I learned it over the course of a month or so, on and off. I started out following the tutorials, but after the first or second tutorial, I just went off and screwed around with it and figured it out for myself.
