How can I connect this camera...

How can I connect this camera tomy computer it seems the computer port it is, is the same kind of a mouse or keyboard the little circular ones i forget the name right a little high right now but is there any way to hook it up to my keyboard or mouse port and see if i can get my comp to recognize it or is there a cord or something that i could plug the camera cord into and the other end into usb or ilink or serial ports?

I would greatly appreciate anyone who could help on this matter

Could you read the manual that came with it?

It's probably a firewire or a s-video cable

no i dont have a manual its an older camcorder a couple years and second hand, but if it is either of those you mentioned could i still get around that somehow?

NO YOU CANNOT HOOK IT UP TO A MOUSE OR KEYBOARD PORT. NO NO NO NO NEVER!

I have never hooked a video camera to a computer, but I do believe that I could figure it out if I had a manual. Manual is a BIG FUCKING HELP. Find out what camera you have type the model into yahoo and see what comes up. Then maybe you'll know what to do.

Is it a Dv camera, or something else, like 8mm or VHS-C?

If it's not mini-DV, you have to use a capture card. If its DV, chances are it has a firewire/1394 port, and you can capture digitally.
