so?

deadlines?

are?

and definition of cool shit?

Deadline is whenever you feel like you can make your cool shit by. Definition is, a video of some sort, that is something you made, and is cool. It can be motion graphics, really clever editing, animation (2D or 3D), something you filmed, who cares. The only important thing is that it's stuff you enjoy and have fun making.

So this isn't even an actual project that will be released in any unified way, shape, or form. But rather an ongoing project to provide the org community a venue to dick around with their programs?

Basically, yeah. Except without a focus on dicking around with programs. I don't care if people do stuff in AE, Maya, Premiere, whatever. Point a camera at stuff. Be creative in whatever way you see fit.

And no, I don't have any specific plans to compile everything together into one big project video, but hey, if people want that, I will. This is about encouraging creativity and actually working on things. Hell, it's a way to encourage MYSELF to get off my ass and get shit done. It seems silly and ridiculous but since starting this thread, I've been feeling a lot more motivated and ready to get myself back to work on my portfolio.

Sounds cool. Is it stuff that you've had lying around though? Why not make something new? :o
