Is no one able to do anything with them or is the executive producer just really picky about how they're represented? Seriously, this is crazy. As soon as AMV Salad 3 is in the can (within the next week or so), I think I just might throw a li'l sum'n-sum'n together for at least one of them.

Seriously...

Wow, I think Cigaro is, like the most taken/dropped track. But seriously, if I get my butt in gear, rip Boku no Sexual Harassment, and no one has taken it yet, I'll do something with that. Though I guess 1st I need to do those tweaks on Bounce, since I promised Kev I'd try to get it done by the end of the week. . .and so I never have to look at Eiken again. :|

Sorry for dbl post, but yeah, Kev, funny story. . .So, my old external was fucking up, so I got a new one so I a)would have more room in general and b)could dump all the stuff from the old external onto the new one so I could reformat the old one. Well, in the process, some of the files from the old external got corrupted. Yeah, the project file for my Bounce segment was one of them. So, I have to start over. *bangs head on desk* So yeah, needless to say, I will not have my segment in by the end of the week. I will try for the end of the month, though. -_- *gets out the 151 and bathes in it*

My computer issues are fixed.

My MEP is complete (until AMVS4 begins July 20).

I am not inspired enough for a full AMV.

And DAMMITALL, I'm tired of seeing this thing sitting in neutral. :nono:

Gimme Darts!

Okay, I'm taking "Darts."
I'll be using Cowboy Bebop: the Movie.
Probably a mostly straightforward action sequence.
Sound kosher?
Thought so.

It looks pretty decent.
Encoding with Lagarith.
This file is gonna be pretty freakin' big, hope you don't mind. ;)

I'm having toasted bagels.
Haven't decided what flavor they are yet.

But anyway,...

the "Darts" clip is DONE!

Now where do I send this thing?

Oh, and I may just do another track if this one is good enough...

Ok. You probably shouldn't have send me the lag right away -_-

I'd have prefered a lower size, easily playable encoded beta.

But anyway, I do not like your track very much. There were very few sences that grasped my attention at all and in general the pace of the video didn't seem to match up with the song and it seemed like there wasn't enough effort put in.

Sorry.

funny because I remember at the way start of this I said that somebody should do darts with Bebop.

hey kev :3... I'm gonna look at the same tracks AGAIN and see if any of the new anime I own I can see clocking with the song... :o...

edit: wurpess I thought your rape track for cigaro was done a while... wasn't that the tentacles thing that led to my avatar being banned for a time?

I dropped it because I hit a wall and it just wasn't coming out well. (And I took out the phallic frames on your av, so it was just a tentacle. Admin was just silly. :P) But if I get time and no one had taken it, I was going to do a yaoi track with it using Boku no Sexual Harassment. :D

But for the time being, I need to try and recreate my Bounce segment, since Sousuke (my 500gb external) fucked up and corrupted the project file. -_-

Well...can you give me a better idea what it is you're looking for? If you want these tracks done, a little more information would likely help that happen. I mean really...how much longer do you want this thing to be open?

Maybe anyone else out there wanna tell me what they think..? It's a large file (Lagarith-encoded, uncompressed audio, decrypted DVD video) so you can just delete it when you're finished...

K, watched your tack deuce. Whats wrong with it is the fact that I could be more entertained just watching the damned movie. You brought nothing new to the tabel, and as kev said it just appeared as though no effort were put it, plus the lip synch was terrible. I could see this as maybe a rough beta but as your finished product? no no no.

First, damn my eyes anyway. I was certain I had that shit lined up right. :(

Second, especially in the beginning lyrics, the guy's arm with the gun is swinging, Short of splitting each mouth flap and messing with the timing, the difficulty is making sure his arm doesn't look twitchy or like it's changing speed at random.

Third, I understand about being entertaining, but no one is saying HOW. What EXACTLY is needed here for this track? I tried to follow the lyrics as far as the material would allow. And the more I dug into this, the more I realized there isn't much that can be done with this track. There's a reason no one has picked it up and finished it.

I dunno. What is everyone else doing with their tracks? Have they followed the lyrics, a theme, or gone on their own and improvised? Just a bit of guidance in terms of what the executive producer has in mind for this track in particular would be helpful...

A Good Mix of lyric synch, beat synch, a good match-up with pace and intensity of the song, maybe some nifty and interesting catches....and the spasm soad are made of.

watching again and there are some small obvious things that could have made this better...better beat synch is one of those small fundamental things. During the last part with the scene on the monorail starting at about 1:13... you have these major beats sounding and a point of impact in the anime happening AFTER them. Spyke kicks vince in the face like half a second or more after a loud drum/guitar/bass moment, he punches after, the gun lands after.. all this can be fixed by simple tweakings of the source that can provide some better internal synch that would make at least that part better to watch and be engaged in, not only this, but like was said before...or maybe not idk, there needs to be more, well, action. There is hardly any impact in this track and you're working with a SOAD song, this track almost makes me wonder if you were given like an acoustic cover to work with and then just put the original audio over top after you were done... idk.
