Turkey Shoot, I Mean, Deals

Postby Red Wolf » Wed Nov 27, 2002 4:41 pm

Once again, ripped straight off of Deals on the Web:

Here's a small sample of the types of deals you'll see on Friday if you're willing to get up early:

Best Buy: 150 pack of 40x CDR Media Free A/R, $39.99 DVD Players, $50 Western Digital 75 GB IDE drives, 48x12x48 IDE CD-RW drives for $9.99

Staples: 30 Gigabyte, 7200 RPM IDE drives $29.98 A/R, Cendyn 40x12x48 CD-RW for $9.98 A/R, Envision 15" LCD: $199 A/R.

WalMart: Apex DVD player $48.76, Kodak CX4300 Digital Camera $154.

Stock is usually limited on these specials, you'll need to get their early to find these and more at your local retailers.

I called my local Best Buy store and they will be opening up at 6:00 on Friday so that's how early we're talking. Works for me since I have to be at work on Friday by 9:00.

Here's some details on deals I found at Best Buy this morning. I will not be able to check out the other stores because I have to WORK! Keep in mind that stock is limited and the doors have been open since 6:00 AM.

DVD/CD Player (models vary per store): $39.99
- $69.99 Retail
- $30 MIR

Western Digital 75GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive & 256MB PC133 SDRAM: $49.99
- $129.99 + $89.99 = $219.98 Retail
- $60 Instant Bundle Savings
- $109.99 Bundle MIR

Norcent 48x12x48x CD-RW Drive: $9.99
- $59.99 Retail
- $30 MIR
- $20 MIR

Buslink 48x12x48x CD-RW Drive: $29.99
- This drive may still have a sticker showing a $20 MIR. That rebate expired last Wednesday but the price has remained low.

Buy One, Get One Free Memorex DVD Media
- Buy two identical Memorex DVD media packs (including spindles) and get MIR to make the second one free.

150 Precision CD-R Discs: Free
- $13 per 75 pack (must buy two packs)
- $26 Bundle MIR

Enjoy the crowds and lines. It took a friend an hour simply to check out of Best Buy at 7:30AM.

Actually, I bought a PC from Best Buy yesterday and the crowds were not bad at all. I probably missed all the early morning bargains though.

The bundle package (PC, monitor, printer) came to around 750 (after rebates), so I guess it's not too bad. :o

Indeed, hopefully this one will last a few years before it really does become obsolete. :O
