Any truth to the comment this show ends in 12 eps? Bam just like that over?

Looks like ep.12 is the last episode. But there will be an extra 13th episode the week after. Source: http://www.j-cast.com/2009/06/12043154.html

Next week's episode (6/18) isn't listed on the TBS schedule as the last one so it's safe to say that there is technically one more the following week. Source: http://www.tbs.co.jp/tv/daily/20090618.html

I think my post was a bit confusing. Episode 12 = finale, Episode 13 = extra. I think that was a bit clearer.

I need to get some sleep. Episode 11 thoughts when I'm more coherent.

What the....?! Episode 11 is the SECOND TO LAST EPISODE?!!! And this episode actually has DRAMA?!!

This almost reminds me of those "dramatic plots" found in Marimite which later fizzles out in the end.
Spoiler :
After Yui got her guitar fixed up some questionable actions happened which made Ritsu rather jealous over Mio hanging out with Nodoka more often. This in turn made the atmosphere during band practice feel incredibly awkward (Azu-nyan tried to break up the tense atmosphere by having her put on cat ears  ). Conveniently, Ritsu got sick so this was a perfect chance for Mio to visit her so she can take care of her.

At the end of the episode, Yui sneezed. This doesn't bode well for the next episode!

The manga is still publishing, so it's probably safe to say there will be a second season one day.

Then again, this is KyoAni.

Oh well if I had a dollar for every anime that concludes in 13 shows, I've have a nice pile of cash.

It's nice that this show has been enjoyable. I guess they can't all be 50 some episode shows like Zettai Karen Children was.

I don't though consider manga a yard stick to measure the duration of an anime though.
You get things like Claymore where the anime ends regardless of the manga.

I will decide the likeliness of a season 2 following watching the 13th ep.

Well, unless the girls suddenly graduate in the 13th episode or miraculously play at whatever concert they're supposed to be aiming for, I'll assume the anime isn't over.

Claymore actually created a sort of ending for itself when it decided to not keep with the manga, so unless I see something like that here, it's pretty well left open for a second season.
