I'll likely be there (at the M&G, definitely showing up for AX). Didn't make anything in time for AX, but that's okay. And like Vlad said, "Where is it exactly?"

Oiwake is located in Little Tokyo.
http://www.oiwake.com/

all information needed is available on their website, including directions. i'll get stryyder to put up more detailed directions (i drive, he navigates, so i never know how to get there.) but the Little Tokyo plaza is set up like an L shape. Oiwake is located upstairs in the corner of the "L", and there are two entrances on either side of it.

that front picture is the exact section of the restaurant we will be stationed at again (don't worry, it's bigger than it looks).

I'm an idiot. I've been to Little Tokyo before, just not Oiwake. I just need to get the directions when I get to AX.

And I'm willing to pick people up and drive them if necessary.

EDIT: The M&G is Day 0, but what time? 6:30?

I had to drive some people back to their hotels after last year's dinner and we were afraid everyone we saw on the streets was a gang member. :x

Yeah, meant to make a map for this tonight but I got stuck on another project so I will do it later. Definitely wouldn't walk, you'd be walking about 3 miles back toward the con center at night in LA. It is at the Little Tokyo mall at the corner of 1st and San Pedro. I'll put up detailed directions and a map this week, as well as best case parking. I think we are putting the start time at 6pm, but we'll probably be there to set up as early as 5pm.

In that case, I think the Mrs. and I can swing by and hang for a bit before our event that evening.

I'm at the Holiday Inn but dropping by the Sheraton is easy, if you want Vlad I can give you a ride there.

The subway station is across the street from the Sheraton. Oiwake is walking distance from the Civic Center station on the Red Line (not to be confused with the Grand Line).
