Blurry Text?

Post by iGREASE » Fri May 15, 2009 5:19 am

So in both Version 7 & 8 whenever I try to do some kind of text it is blurry.

I made sure to check to see if I had some kind of blur effect on them and nothing is there.
Never had this problem before.

But of course when I try to get back in to editing there is always something that puts me off.

Also.
I have a hard time viewing my work in Vegas. Like even when I do a simple overlay or something the frame rate drops by a lot.
It isn't really a problem, but it is just a pain in the butt to have to render out something 500 times till I get the timing right.

Ram: 3Gb
Processor: 2.3Ghz

Is it blurry in your preview window or in your final export?

It is possible it is blurry in preview because of your preview codec being set at lower quality.

when you mean viewing, you mean like quick rendering right?
You shouldn't have issues with playback after quick rendering.
although if you haven't quick rendered, it might be choppy.
i don't use vegas, so i duno if my ligo applies.

Like was stated, make sure your preview settings are set to Best Quality. The setting is at the top of the preview window/pane thing.

For the framerate problem, you can do a quick RAM Preview to bring the framerate back up. Highlight the area that want to preview and press Shift+B. It doesn't actually render out any files; it just renders the selection into your RAM.

If you find that it isn't rendering out enough of your selection, go into your settings and increase the amount of Dynamic RAM you're allocating to Vegas. I forget which tab of the settings it's under exactly, but I'm sure you can find it. =\
... yea ...

Yeah everything is on the highest setting.

I'll see if the RAM thing will work once I feel like doing something again.
