Grats to all.
Now I demand vids.
True, this is why I'm really considering not releasing this video at all, but just trying to approach cons in the hope they will play this video when the audience is waiting for results or whatever.Brad wrote:As much as I love Douggie's video, I will say that I really don't foresee it making as much of a "splash" online, considering that the nature behind it is intended for a con audience. It doesn't have nearly the same effect when you're just watching it by yourself.
Or an "AMV Party"?LittleAtari wrote:Party AMV anyone?

As for now, the AMV is still in ongoing process leading to the "final" version. There are actually two other sections I already made (but no voices for them yet) and I really need to get the timing, pacing and build-up right (and getting the Totoro DVD as well), but I can only do that when receiving comments and "experience-reports" from people who were there at the con while the video was being played. It was really hard to beta this AMV, because the reaction you get from one person behind the monitor is really different (and most people who beta'd it for me weren't really participating at all which made me think it would be a huge failure at cons).
I might do a "ninja upload" in two months or so...Or an "AMV Party"?LittleAtari wrote:Party AMV anyone?

One thing I kept forgetting (as you might have noticed) is the FTP-request, which was annoying because - even though it's also my fault for not reading carefully - I wasn't expecting it to work like that. I know it's something that can be done automatically (A-Kon has it I think), but can't you guys do it because of technicalities or are there specific reasons you guys have chosen not to?ngsilver wrote:I'm still open to feedback and suggestions of course. I want to shape the system in a way that you all can easily access and use it. It will be hard to do without feedback from those of you who actually use it!
