Direct video description?

Postby Nya-chan Production » Tue May 12, 2009 9:16 am

Would it be possible to have "edit video description" directly in the video description for the author?
And it would be kinda awesome if it was separately from the "video information block", just looking like, say, journal.

I mean, the description is great stuff, but I edit it time to time (unlike the other stuff about cons, names, etc) and it would be great to take less time then "editors > edit video details > write it > preview > close > collaborations (which takes quite a time to load as well) > submit" to edit it~

A link to edit the comments now shows up on the video information pages when editors view their own videos. I also made a similar link to edit the user profiles.

As far as I know you don't actually have to go to the collaboration page and hit submit for the changes to take effect. It has always been my understanding that once you click "continue" on step 1 the comments are updated. (I may be wrong though)

In any case, the edit collaborations page should no longer take 6(!) seconds to load now.

While I was at it I improved performance on some pages of the site that desperately needed it. Viewing the "all time star list" pages no longer takes 3.9 seconds per page. Viewing the previous banner winners page no longer takes 9(!!) seconds per page.

Ah, I see, was my mistake, it doesn't need that... it just... seems that way, which usually confuses me and I go through the whole process~

Thanks for all the improvement! (b^^)b
