For winners, there should be news about prizes this coming week.
I'll try to address a couple of things right now...
Edit: removed the previous link to the ballot, I've updated the first post of the thread to include the full video list also indicating winners. Incorporated some of the suggestions here, and didn't include editor names. On having the names in the ballot- that's just how we had done it before so I didn't change it. I'll pass that suggestion on for next year. I get to graduate for real this time!
There will be no staff pick video this year, as not enough of the staff had seen all of the videos to make a fair choice.
At the moment, only three of the winning videos are uploaded on a-m-v.org, and very few people has associated their contest submissions with our contest. I'll be sending something to everyone who submitted to remind them to do that.
Anyway- if you submitted, thank you! We'll be trying to make the experience next year a bit smoother, there were a few bumps this year.

By 'runner up' in that case I meant the submitter- the video that won comedy was submitted by the same person who was the runner up in action. This isn't an issue we've run into in the past, so once the AMV contest coordinator is determined for next year, I'll make sure that they review and revise the rules. If anyone has any specific suggestions, feel free to let me know and I can pass them on.The runner up in comedy already won in action????

AWWWWwwww..... Oh! well... Guess I have to be happy with what I got... Tho, I am surprised it was the Gunslinger Girl video that won and, not the Major General video.... Hmmm... Will have to check out the video that won...ibmman wrote:

As for voting and all of the contest entrants:
I've uploaded the ballot in PDF form from this years contest: http://www.fivefeetdeep.com/fileuploads ... t_2009.pdf
That of course has all the videos which were in the contest, and demonstrates how the voting worked. Of course despite having a note about it before the actual contest in the video opener, and on the ballot, some ballots did come back with multiple votes per category, and those were not counted. I'll post the info for the videos in the contest here when I get a chance (also early next week... after my master's thesis defense...).

Romance Winner
Aliza Becker for the 5cm Per Second video to "Remembering You"
also of note I really don't like that my real name was used on the ballot instead of my studio name and handle... also I wish you had included the NAME of the VIDEO as well as the other info that way it becomes more plausible/easy to look videos up....
