That's right. No trophies! You get MONEY, just for making a video. How much? Well .... how does $100 sound?

I am like the two above me, I dont do this for cash and I dont plan on doing this for cash unless I use my own footage or music or something...

If any cash prizes, then consider me withdrawn as well.

And I now consider myself UNwithdrawn.
rubyeye wrote:Thanks for the comments. It sounded like a good idea at the time, considering it has been done before at Otakon (I think) - but I guess times have changed. We will abandon the $ prize idea so please re-consider remaining in the contest. These reactions are a bit of a surprise to me, but I've learned something regarding people's attitude to $. Much appreciated, everyone!!

I'm fine if money isn't involved, but I'd have thought a con celebrating its 20th year wouldn't even suggest such a thing. You obviously have something to lose if shit with the RIAA went down.
BasharOfTheAges wrote:You guys have given out half-way decent trophies in the past - i'd say either put more into those and/or thin-pack box sets for winners. Unique polycarbonate (lexan) trophies look cool, and editors could always use more source.
