Synopsis:
A spate of mafia assassinations occurs in America, the work of the mysterious organization named Inferno. "Phantom" is their most strongest and capable assassin, however a lone tourist witnesses Phantom's latest act of murder. He unwittingly exposes the top assassin's true identity, a young girl named Ein. Witnesses are usually killed, but the man is captured and taken to be brainwashed into "Zwei", Inferno's newest assassin, with no memory of who he is. From this point on, Zwei is drawn into a world of conspiracy, deceit and violence.

Being K-ON's polar opposite this season, I think this show has a lot more potential for being the best anime of the season in the eyes of the anime-fans with more sophisticated tastes. The first episode qets you right into the action. From what I've seen in the first episode, this is going to be more than just your typical girls-with-guns anime. I sense a dark plot full of psychological drama that will develop into a great story.

Aparently, this show is by the same guy who made Madlax and Noir. I had been getting that vibe from the show, so its no wonder. Anyway, episode 2 continues the mood and was overall very satisfying.

Best show of the season so far, by a long shot. (man, that ending has some style.) The music in this is fantastic.

Need some hot ein on zwei sex0rs... perhaps some doujins will randomly appear? ^^

So far, exact look to Noir and Madlax and frankly, I loved the music and animation from both shows, though Noir's lack of blood despite obviousness was a bit of a letdown...

Here we see some great old school asskicking...
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

I love Noir soooo much. I like the fact that they didn't show the blood, since the show wasn't about the blood, it was about the characters. (even if there were a few slow moments with relentless flashbacks). Madlax was kindof a letdown to me...seemed like it just missed the mark. So far I'm loving Phantom, but I reeeeally miss having Yuki Kajiura doing the music.

Just saw episode 3, I just about spit up my drink laughing when she was explaining to Zwai how to knife fight. That's a good way to end up in the hospital. (Or morgue) All well and fine for entertainment I guess, but it was so blatantly contridictory to actual knife fighting theory that I couldn't help but smirk.

All in all great episode though, keeping up the trend of fantastic music quite well.
