I guess I have become a little misogynistic ever since we started discussing feminism in English. I'm fucking tired of it.Willen wrote:You are starting to come off as a misogynist.

Re: Saki
After watching Episode 2, I have to say one thing. WEAR THESE! Oh god, the yuri slash material between Saki and Nodoka is like.....
It doesn't help with Saki being voiced by Kana Ueda!
And I'm in further belief that none of the girls wear panties.

Re: Saki
I swear, this show is trying to get right to the edge of ecchi with Nodoka's giant boobs, every girl having rosy cheeks (and skin - re: Saki's legs), the 'dutch angle' shots that should expose panties but somehow don't, the super short skirts that the younger girls wear (that are the source of the previous issue) in stark contrast to the long skirts of the older girls, Nodoka's constant tugging of her aforementioned short skirt, the bath and shower scenes, and the implied lesbianism (what is up with the constant blushing when the girls look at each other?). The possibilities for h-doujinshi is astronomically high here and it's just too easy to do it. With a few tweaks, you could use the actual show for video source. But I digress.Ishbalan wrote:Mountaintits' mountaintits are pissing me off.
But I loled at "The Rord of the Rings."
Finding out that "The Rord of the Rings" (vol. II) is the book Saki was looking for was a great bit, I agree.
It was pretty predictable that they'd set up a situation where Saki would have to get Yakuman. Heck, they hinted at it last episode by mentioning it when Saki needed a 70 fu 2 han hand to get +/- zero. But the mahjong game was entertaining nevertheless. The tension and build-up were done well.
I've watched enough Gonzo adaptations to learn to ignore the boob-fetish they seem to have. I have a tolerance for fanservice (I don't look for it but I don't mind if it's there) and I'm learning to get used to the "no-pan" issue. So far this show doesn't seem to have the inconsistent animation that sometimes plagues their shows. And the ending is sickeningly cute (with unexpected suggestive shots).
I'm interested in Saki's family situation. Looks like it's more than a case of bad losers. That and the mahjong is worth watching for so far.

So far I like this series. I find it rather humerous.... my only problem is I don't know jack about the game.
