Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann - From start to finish the series was pure epic win, in fact.....

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross
The explosion of Dulza's ship

Naruto
Naruto vs Sasuke in the Valley of the End

God I could go on forever.
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death
Nor known to Life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, unlimited blade works.

Why is it that virtually nobody can make a proper motivational poster?

Definitely!

Other times I would consider to be epic would be:
1. Eureka SeveN: Holland and Dewey's final fight (ep 49, I think...)
2. Wolf's Rain: Anything that happened in the last 4 OVAs, honestly.
Spoiler :
Also, when Darcia gives up (somewhat) and uses the Noble's alchemy to escape while holding Homena's corpse.

3. Soul Eater: When Shinigami-sama uses the Shinigami Chop on the Kishin.
4. Chrono Crusade: Chrono almost turns into a full Demon for the first time on screen.
