This is the full result of the contest.

We are looking forward to next year's contest and the Battle of the Greats. So the videos that have finished Runner-up or Won their category will move on to the Battle of the Greats in 2010. Also we have a new category for next year. We are changing our 6th category every year to give our contest a different feel. So for 2010, the new category is going to be EPIC. Make an amv that is over the top, has alot of suspense, drama, action, draws you in and keeps you wanting more. Example along the lines of a great battle, good vs. evil. I'll come up with more a description when I get the official post going.

Good luck to everyone in 2010 and we want to thank everyone for submitting this year. Without your submissions this contest would not have been possible. We all look forward to your amv's next year. This is Gene Starwind from AMA saying until next "You Better Get Ready!" For an amazing battle during our 10th year anniversary special.

PRIZES

Will be trophy or plaque for the winner of each category and award. Also winners in each category will recieve a $25 bestbuy gift card. Coordinator's Choice, Judge's Choice and Con Chair $30 Best Buy Gift Card. Best of Show $35 Best Buy Gift Card

Also for the Coordinator's Choice award like I've been doing for the past 2 years now I will be giving out a SOUND VILLAGE HEADBAND with your EDITOR NAME on the side of it and the other side AMA AMV COORDINATOR's CHOICE '09

Same problem for 3 or 4 years now - that's pretty rough.

I'll see what my next release schedule is and submit something if it doesn't look like i'm prize trolling.

I'm gonna try and have something for the "Torture" category, which may come out sounding like a "greatest hits" of annoying songs if I do this right. I'll also be working on a fairly heavy drama piece - an interpretation of the relationships between Light Yagami / Ryuk and Lust / Lujon against the song "Room of Angel." I'm going for spookiness and sniffles, but again it has to be done right. The hard drive issues persist for now, however... :(

Thanks guys for your support again. We are recieving entries now. I'm hoping to break last year's record of 73 amv's recieved. This was probably the most and the best quality of amv's I have recieved while running the contest. We are working on getting the ftp site up and running. However there are alot of sites out there that allow up to 250MB or 300MB files to be uploaded. I will post the ftp address as soon as I can get one up and running.

Okay about 2 months to the deadline. So there is plunty of time to get your videos in and be apart of this year's contest. We will be have a large main events room this year, which will hold about 2,000 plus attendees. The contest will be shown at least twice possibly a screening on Sunday for those who missed the contest.

If anyone is going to be at the convention come and join me for the AMV Showcase and Experience Panel. This is where you can show off some of your work and share your experience as an editor.

Well I can't wait to see the entries this year.

Count me in. I'm gonna try and have something for the contest but, if not, I'll at least provide a preview of my next competitive work to finish the "experience" bit...
