"Zergrush" as a solution for any sample problem on the test will result in a failure of the course.

AWESOME!

Although, I did already take this class back in High School. It was called 'sixth period.'

Old news is old.

I lived in South Korea long enough to be totally unimpressed with starcraft as an actual "sport."

Over exposure? Just curious.

I used to follow what I could... but it was hard especially since I don't speak Korean. Last year GOMTV added English commentary to their casts... I've been hooked ever since.

I'd attribute it to the fact that a number of people who were damn starcraft kids when it first came out have by now got their PhDs and are now zergling-rushing the universities

Saw this and just wanted to clarify that this isn't an official UC Berkeley course. It is a DeCal course, which is a student-taught set of classes that is used to encourage students to teach others, learn better communications skills, and have fun while trying to apply actual curriculum to popular culture (most of the time). This class is no different than a bunch of friends getting together after class to discuss Starcraft (but in a more formal environment).

As far as I know, there's no course control number, so you won't get any credit for taking it unless a professor does sponsor the class. Even if it does eventually get a CCN, it would only count as 1-unit that would not count towards graduation requirements.

Way to ruin all the fun.
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.
