I pretty much watch the entire series when I edit, I don't clip I just load up the entire vob playing back section by section and keeping what titilates my brain ^.^. I made a video with like 10 sources, it took FOREVER. ugh, but anyway if that counts I've watched a number of series' a number of times. I know the amount of time I have on my hands is staggering.

As far as series' with their original audio (sub/ dub) I could only point to a few of my favorites.

I agree, while watching old stuff is fun, if you don't find a new show to watch and possibly obsess over you can easily find yourself getting bored.
In a given week, I like to be watching animes something like this:
1 that I have watched before
2-3 continuing series
1-2 the starting episodes of animes people tell me are good
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.

I never feel like rewatching a series, but I always enjoy it once I start.

first of all I never watch an anime unless it's completed at least one season. I must be really bored...

... or rather, that must be WHY I am really bored.

This sums up my feelings as well. Some of the series in this vein include Cowboy Bebop, Last Exile, and Azumanga Daioh. I'll also find myself throwing on an arc or two from the more action oriented anime in my collection. That is, if I'm in the mood for a good fight sequence with more context then your average AMV usually provides.

Twice.

Once digisubbed to see if the show is good. again when dubbed domestically, to both support the producers [for pennies or something] and to show to other anime watchers who prefer watching their anime instead of reading...

If the dub sucks, there's always the subtitle track on dvds so everybody wins...

Most series I rewatch are the ones that really aren't plot driven, but are more episodic. I don't know why, but if I get bored, I can just sit down and watch a random episode of something like Lucky Star or Azumanga Daioh and be perfectly entertained. Other than that, I usually don't want to re-follow a plot which I already know the outcome to.

Hmm.. i must be somewhat of a minority. I buy a ton of animie and re-watch many series quit often. If i like it enough to buy it, i like it enough to watch repeatedly.

And as far as subs or dubs... i usually watch a little of both if available for that series the first time around. Then pick whatever one is better when it's time to watch it again... (97% of the time, i watch subs....2% dubbs, 1% both... yes, there are a few rare series where it is good subbed and dubbed)

(PS: i am taking a break from an EVA AMV whilst watching FLCL as i post this lol..)

I've watched all 70 episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura and the two movies about 3 or four times since 2006 with the 70 eps and first movie subbed.

All 78 episodes of Slayers (next/try) 2 times. Both seasons of Kaleido star 3 times. And several other series twice. I'll just marathon a series if I'm bored. But I'm due for another CCS fix. :P

I bought Evangelion, and I plan to buy Elfen Lied.

Those are the only two anime that I consider purchase-worthy.

There are some series I've only seen once, but I do re-watch a bunch of stuff. Some shows are like a yearly ritual. Also it's fun to re-watch stuff with other people.

Well I've watched Lucky Star like 40 times, and the first season of Clannad like 200 times. And my bro has seen Rosario + Vampire and Haruhi countless times.

I have a really good memory so I tend not to rewatch anything unless I'm really bored or am sharing it with a friend.

My brother has probably rewatched all of Slayers like 20 times. That is one series that never gets old and is always fun to share with someone new.

I'll reread manga a lot though since it's easier to do in between other things instead of focusing on a video.

If its an anime I love then I get bored after the 3rd or so time re-watching...
then i switch to a new show, and a month later im like
...
"ooooh this is the show I watched 3 times over...WATCH ONE MORE TIME!! "

Then again that may just be me :D
We came we saw...we attempted to kick ass, but in the end we failed, and yes, I'm still in pain.
