AICon AMV comp 2009

Post by blah13 » Tue Oct 21, 2008 3:20 am

After a terrific battle in the last con that saw ScorpionP and InfinitySquared share the honours for their respective AMV studios Walkure and AMVience, the stage is set for an even bigger war to come and what better theme to have as this years special category then "feudal". This can include pretty much anything set more then 100 years ago(Samurai Champloo, Kenshin etc), anything set in alternate worlds that use feudal styled clothing/weapons (Esaflowne, Slayers etc) or things that bring the feudal theme into a modern or futuristic setting(Samurai 7, Fate/Stay night etc). This category will be judged and awarded with a prize on the same level as overall winner so is definitely worth a shot.

With the fantastic support from this site and others, the growth has prompted us to expand, this year we're also introducing the categories drama, comedy/parody and action along side previous categories of overall and fan favourite. So more chances to win.

So get your entries together and be prepared to go head to head with some of the best AMV creators and studios in the world.

I'm having trouble connecting to the URL posted. What is this all about? Is there a central web site I can look at for the details? In this thing, does comp = "compilation" or "competition?"

yep, open internationally, although I will only send prizes to the winners if postage is paid, we're not the richest con.
