I can't get enough of this series for some reason. It's the first thing i look for on new release forums.

I <3 the comedy alot. It doesn't usually make me laugh. It's just amusing to watch how she reacts to every little thing. She's got the most interesting anime girl personality i've seen since Excel saga.

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I find skip beat to be amusing [and gal designs are hot sex0rs]

Definitely more appealing to me than Itazura na Kiss, which this anime seems to possess the same spirit.

ItaKiss to me though isn't as crisp and shiny though both anime suffer from bishi'ed to death men...

Oh yeah, Light/Death the Kid is in Skip Beat as an asshole character. Go figure ^_^

Skip Beat is some good stuff.
I'm super happy they're doing an anime for it now.

seems they rushing a few points in comparison to the manga, but so far has been pretty faithful to it.
I'm enjoying the animated version as much as I did the manga. good stuff so far. I hope they dun drop the ball.

Rushing? No I think they're doing quite well, they're cutting corners, but that's to be expected, but so far I've been following along with the manga and I've rather accurately predicted how many episodes each story arc ends up being. But this is the moment of truth right now as it's getting close to the 26 mark so they may cut a lot of the upcoming small stories and head into bigger things cramming it into an "end" or they'll continue to be faithful and produce a long anime

I sure as hell hope that it ends up as more than 26 episodes because I SO wanna see the Natsu arc animated! It's turning out so awesome! *waits eagerly for mote chapters*

I'm sad that Skip Beat discussion has not been going on in any of my forums :(

I'm HAPPY that there's a new opening for the anime though. It's almost certain the anime will be at least 39 episodes now! They skipped their first arc of the manga though, the one that covers Moko's backstory. But it makes sense to do that to focus more on Kyoko, but it makes it harder to make a Moko AMV...

ANN says 25 episodes at the moment, which would be such a shame. Love this show. Would be odd too, as I don't see how things could end satisfactorily in just 2 more episodes. Hopefully it is at least 39 episodes, or at least have a second season

You have to understand that ANN only lists episode titles that have been released. Those titles have probably been posted on the website or something. They generally make anime on a weekly basis and at this point they probably have only done production up to episode 25. Of course the easiest thing to do is the script, especially when following a base. The most difficult part of scripting is getting the timing right for the scenes and speech to fill the episode. This requires either cutting manga content or adding anime only content. The only anime only content they've added is a little bit more visualization on the flashbacks and altering offensive content slightly
Spoiler :
specifically the gesture that Kyoko learnt from Sho to direct at Ren. In the manga it's a fist shake, in the anime it's a thumbs down. I wish they had kept the original visual though... but I guess the gestures are a lot more offensive in japan than here.

I think it is possible to conclude the series reasonably in 39 episodes and draw a conclusion for after the Dark Moon Arc. They can even have it open enough to continue the series with the Box-R arc at another time, while still managing a satisfying ending.
Mainly speculation below, but spoilered for safety sake.
Spoiler :
The way I see it, they'll cover all the important points of the dark moon arc. They'd probably chop up the Vie Ghoul Arc if anything, and they seriously would need the Apprenticeship arc in there as well since it's a really definining point of the series. Then they'd end up ending the series with an anime only staff party for the end of Dark Moon. Another possibility is leaving the apprenticeship arc to an after series as it does more lend itself to the Box-R arc more than the Dark Moon Arc. And doing it that way still wouldn't hurt the continuity as she ends up apprenticed because of her difficulty in choosing her new role and all... And the staff part y CAN be before all of Dark Moon has aired and there can still be promotions of it in a follow-up series... But I sure hope that the do come back for a follow-up if it's ended at 39 as I don't want them to pull a BECK and say that's that when they hadn't even gotten to the best part.

With the way episode 24 ended and the name of episode 25... You get the feeling it's gonna end on episode 25.

I'm kinda saddened at the fact that its ending but the ending isn't really being rushed, it's lookin good so far. Gonna miss the comedy though.

Maria holic more then makes up for it regardless :awesome:

Arriving late to this discussion maybe, but caught this while visiting a friend, and after a couple of eps I have to say this is seriously funny shit and easy to get into. Now ask me again when I reach the end of the run I suppose.
