Awesome Guide!

At least I can settle down for some chow now that I have something to read during my spare time. It's very detailed and poses some good questions a beginner should consider if they're planning to create AMVs. Great job on the written effort.

Now, I plan to download some of those programs mentioned in the guide. I have a two video editing programs at my disposal and some paint programs as well. With the additional programs I can gather the DVD footage I need, and get to work. I'll take this information into account when I download some of the footage cleaning programs.

Quick update on the Perian instability issue: 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 were buggy and crashed FCP frequently on me, but 1.1.3 seems to be quite solid.

For Crossover to open AMVapp/ect by my understanding you only need the standard edition right?
Or do you need the professional one?
