Each version, there is only a couple of few changes that could be helpful in whole. And about the preview box at the bottom. There's a way to put it back to original [at top].Sentrix wrote:But all Sony are basically the same...I'm using Sony Vegas 7 which i think is better than 8 =]JaddziaDax wrote:yea, they were all different versions - I started off on Sony Vegas Movie Studio 4.0 and I'm currently using Sony Vegas 6.0 ... preview box has always been on bottom right for me O.o
but yes you can move the frames around by clicking and dragging the bunch of little dots on the side of it.. you can move the frame where you want to see it.

Have you ever tried using Adobe products? If yes, which do you prefer?JaddziaDax wrote:yea, they were all different versions - I started off on Sony Vegas Movie Studio 4.0 and I'm currently using Sony Vegas 6.0 ... Plan on getting Sony Vegas 8.0 fairly soon maybe?

I tried Premiere once, I hated it O.o
really though people should choose programs based on their own preferences... my issue is that I'm too comfortable with Vegas and Premiere is just "backwards" (in comparison)... I do however want to start experimenting with AE just because it's results are smoother than Vegas

You realize that Vegas and AE have near nothing in common. Thus "mastering" vegas is of little to no use. Photoshop/Premiere on the other hand make for allot better practice material.
