I couldn't work with Vegas without the trimmer. The trimmer is your friend. 8-)

You can also split clips by pressing s where the marker is in the timeline.

Do you mean trim video length or cropping the image? Because if you mean cropping the edges of the video there's event pan/crop.

I've tried using vegas but absolutely hated the trimmer and such. I like final cut and ulead's way of marking in and out and dragging and dropping better.

How do people do things without the trimmer? :shock:

Now I feel like I must be doing it all wrong XD But the trimmer's worked for me so far. o_O

What is this trimmer anyway? /is confused.

That's exactly what the trimmer does. It just creates a window that let's you scrub through the clip's own timeline, mark in\out points, and drop that segment into the main timeline.

apparently the drag the entire clip onto the timeline and trim it there?

dude trimmer = select part you want, drag to the timeline O.o how hard can it seriously be?
