I actually debated which i wanted to do as my next mep between Kamelot, blind gaurdian, and rhapsody. I ended up picking kamelot. I guess I like them the most. Feel free to start your own mep with them. I might join depending on how things look in the future time wise.

Okay, for Forever...

I really like the lyrics:

"All too soon we were divided
Into darkness and light

Will you revive from the chaos in my mind
Where we still are bound together (bound together)
Will you be there waiting by the gates of dawn
When I close my eyes forever"

...The 2nd pre-chorus and the chorus which is 2:00 - 2:30.

If you are going to use one of the verses, I prefer the 2nd verse over the others (1:35 - 2:00).

If you choose not to use any verses, I really like the instrumental in the beginning...more than any of the verses, actually. lol

Well, I have no idea how you plan on putting it into the mix, so sorry if this sounds complicated or nitpicky. I'm just letting you know which parts I like, hehe. But whatever you feel works best. =]

Maybe in the next one if there is a next one. I've got enough slow songs to mesh into the fast ones.

If you have a certain timeframe you want in the mep from your song then feel free to post it or PM me. I can't gaurentee i will use the exact time slot you tell me but ill come close to it somehow.

=3

I'll give you some room to improvise, I like the part of 0:32 to 1:30....so anything within that is fine.

Hell ya man. I was hoping you'd say this. Forever's intro is fuggin awesome (best intro from kamelot imo). It's what I planned to give you.

I was actually planning on making two tracks with this song and lost and damned. They were the 2 tracks i planned on using twice but we will see. It's hard to choose cause they are all awesome :P .

Haha, yeah it's awesome. Back when I first heard the song, the intro really caught my attention...then the verse came and I turned it off. :? lmao Mistake on my part. I first got into Kamelot with The Black Halo and never really listened to their other stuff until after Ghost Opera.

But yeah, whatever you think works best. I trust you'll make a great mix.

Lost and Damned verse kinda kills the song for me too. But great chorus.

Well you guys sure made mixing difficult with your song choices... :P

I'm workin on it :book: , The mix wont be seamless cause of the major differences in pace in some of the songs but I'm trying to make it as smooth as possible. I might have it finished today, if not, then tomorrow.

MEP Full mix link:
http://www.valkyriestudios.org/evafan/K ... %20mix.mp3

Like I said, the mix isn't seamless but i made the transitions as smooth as possible. I don't think a seamless mix is possible with the different paces of the songs.

Basically what I'm trying to say is getting the mix to sound like 1 complete song is impossible but the song changes are still smooth.

Songs used (In order):
Forever 1st part - (NightHawk) ?
Forever 2nd part - Unclaimed ?
Wings of Despair - (LeapofFate)
Lost and Damned - (Ghet)
Rule The World - (Takefuji)
The Haunting - (Scorpy)
The Black Halo - (Kev)
Karma - (Cross/Fade)
This Pain - (Kazemon15)
Nothing Ever Dies - Unclaimed
Center Of the Universe - (Onyx)
When The Lights Are Down - (Evafan)

Let me know what you guys think. If you don't like it I wouldn't mind trying again at all really. We got lots of time to work things out before we start the mep. That's what this interest gauge is for.

By the way everyone. After listening to the lyrics of all the songs we picked... I've decided to force a rule of thumb on you for your tracks. I have a feeling that if i don't then we will end up with a bunch of random stuff.

Here is the rule I want to impose: Dramatic
Basically make your main focus "Drama" however that doesn't mean just romance. Action, character profile, everything has drama. It's all in how you execute it.
Is this ok with everyone?

After listening to all of the tracks ..... yeah, it's impossible to make it sound like one complete song. I like it the way it is now. Just wondering thought - maybe those two tracks from Forever song should be placed in two diffrent parts of the mix ? Dont know how hard it would be to mix that intrumental part with something thought.

Regarding my track - perfect cut. Precisely the thing I wanted.

The drama rule =

I'll try moving the 2nd part further down the timeline. Blending the instrumental part will be hard cause the beginning of it is a loud treble sound which wont transition well.

your track is an instrumental, I really like'd that instrumental part. If you want a different part of the song let me know. I asked earlier in the thread what portions of their songs people wanted but few responded so this was the outcome.

You can try asking scorpy for it. He's gonna be really busy with college but he has plenty of summer time to edit it so I don't know if he will say yes or not. :P
