Kawaii Kon 2009 VAST Contest RESULTS!

Yes, I know it's not even 2009 at all yet, but wanted to get an early start for this upcoming season! I will be taking over the reigns from SixStop for 2009 so I've made some slight changes to the previous years contest rules - but the great baseline work that SixStop did made it easy for me. So without further adieu...

Kawaii Kon 2009 is proud to announce it's (newly named for 2009) Video Art Showcase Theater (VAST) Contest.

Who can enter?
Anyone can enter the VAST Contest: attendance is not required (although encouraged). The only exclusion to entry is the direct staff of the KK-VAST – all other KK staffers are allowed and encouraged to enter.

What can I enter?
Any video editing project may be entered by its creator(s). Entries are not limited to AMV’s alone – original production video art is also allowed. There is no limit to the number of entries. The only exclusion is videos entered in previous Kawaii Kon-AMV contests, which are ineligible.

Where can I enter?
There are two ways to enter the VAST Contest: snail-mail or via the internet (either thru public file transfer sites not requiring memberships to download or your own web hosting site). No entries will be accepted at the convention.

When can I enter?
Entry acceptance starts NOW!
Entry deadline is Saturday, February 28, 2009

Why do I enter?
To win, of course! An overall winner will be awarded. Other prizes / awards may be included at the discretion of the KK-VAST staff, judges, guests, or the KK-VAST Coordinator.

How do I enter?
Make a video, fill in the entry form, enter it and make sure it gets to us by the entry deadline – couldn’t be simpler. Preferred format is MPEG2 - other formats will also be accepted but they will be converted to MPEG2 on this end if you do. However, for the most control over how your video is displayed, it is suggest that you do your own MPEG2 conversion work.
