'Cause 720x480 is more of a resolution for a tv and will stretch out alot of footage. 640x480 is much better suited for a MEP.

not if people export it right. keeping it at 640x480 cuts off A LOT of footage :(

lol it doesn't cut off any footage genius, making it 720 x 480 stretches it, because it is not 4:3 on a computer. Do your research, and don't fight joey on this, because you WILL lose.

Just sayin

But..

720x480 with 4:3 AR flagg > 640x480.

Sorry NightlHlawk, I have to drop for the time being. :(

I just don't have the time, and ripping my footage takes too much time for me. I'll send you a beta if I ever actually do something, but yeah. >.>

...i'm not going to even respond to such a childish remark. this isn't a competition einstein.

all fullscreen footage has a ratio of 720x480, but tv screens crop the sides off. it's clearly apparent when you view it in (at least) Premiere. it's not being stretched but almost looks close to being in widescreen. i'll try to get some screen shots of what i'm talking about when i get a chance.

in then end if it's all exported right, it won't be stretched.

and onyx, if you don't have anything useful to say then i'd prefer you didn't reply back to me.
