question about video size

Post by hybridWing » Tue Oct 14, 2008 9:21 pm

In order for vegas to get my avi videos working, I use a lossless codec like lagarith (obviously). Now, everyone knows it takes up a lot of space. Just a couple questions. Is there any way to render it in vegas to about 100MB or less without downgrading too much of the quality? Also, will programs like VDM and/or AviSynth help with that? And if so how?

That guide will help with your problem.

Basically, When you export it from vegas, it'll be a big file, but then you run it through AVIsynth and VDM as explained to compress it, though I'd personally recommend the "ZarxGUI" for best quality to file size. (it's also explained at the end of that guide.)
