No it's simple, you merely leap to conclusions which are outside of my control.

I watch retail when retail becomes available.

In the absence of retail I do not settle for the mangled crap that the US broadcasters think is good enough for me.

And I don't watch shitty grade uploads on MyTube, I get the stuff from sources that make the difference.

What was so complicated about the original message?

Yeah I realize anime was meant to be watched in Japanese.

Ranks right up there with the Bible is best read in the language it was written in.

At least fansubbers usually give a decent translation routinely.

I don't see AS caring for one reason.

Seth McFarlane.

Ever since they got the rerun rights for FG, the eye for quality on the rest of Williams Street has gone down a LOT.
What comedies that have been good are usually made by people who aren't part of the WS inner circle (Venture Bros being Doc Hammer & Jackson Publick, Metalocalypse being Brendan Small, and Boondocks being, of course, Aaron McGruder.)
Anyways, thanks to the fact that FG/AD are giving AS some of the best ratings they've EVER had, they've kind of gotten comfortable with the idea of 'Screw what you guys think! We're still getting AWESOME ratings from Family Guy!'

So yeah...so long as AS continues to suckle at Seth McFarlane's teat, they're probably not gonna pay a movement like this any mind whatsoever.

Honestly, I think AS is kind of hoping they can liquidate the anime block entirely, and they're just doing it this way cause it's going to cause less drama than just dropping it out right and telling the action viewers to piss off.

The whole changing of the anime block just to tick off anime lovers is the reason why I call AS the "Trolls of TV'. They do things like that to tick people off for the lulz. Simple as that. They could very well take and use the pizza boxes in one of their stupid Tim and Eric shows (a show that SUCKS in my opinion) just to mock the anime lovers.

I don't think a lot of people caught the dis on anime in an episode of 'Robot Chicken', where they were making fun of Sailor Moon.

It's doing things like that and the killing of Toonami that will soon bring about the end of Cartoon Network. And why? Ratings and money. They have gone from a network that made people happy with quality shows to a network that has, for all intents and purposes, sold out to CW/WB whatever they're called now.

And whatever happened to that all-anime network that I had been about a year ago? Wasn't it supposed to be on now?

Bah. Doesn't matter to me. I have a DVR and it records it for me while I sleep. :O

Oh, and AS doesn't suck necessarily. They've had some good shows on. Code Geass and Eva proves that. I remember they had the Escaflone movie, the Ghibli collection and other really epic anime.

As for the whole English/Subs... Personally, I'd rather listen to english than read. However, series like Ouran host club, Code Geass R2 don't have english yet, so its necessary to have subs. But when they get english out, I'm definitly checking them out. Besides the fact that most "subs" really suck and things get lost in translation.

I'm still seeing such a channel being advertized by Bresnan (Comcast?) but I'm not clear whether it's satellite only or what. I just know it's one you have to pay extra for a subscription for like HBO.

I prefer English dubs but I'll take subs if that's the only translation there is.

Well... I guess the "untrue anime fans" won this round.. since we got the animes back up?

I don't know bout yaw'll.. but I watch AS for two reasons. 1. I hate sitting at my computer for long periods of time, and having it on in the background is nice. 2. It somewhat broadens my anime viewing, I never would have watched Death Note, Eureka7, or Code Geass if it hadn't been for it, and I loved all three.
