Maybe it was just eclipse's subs, but they made it sound like Nunally still lives. Since HD h.264 kills my comp, was that just the translation?

I wish the reconcile between Lelouch and Suzuka had more... feeling in it. They've been so opposed to each for so long, it would have been far more interesting to see, than most of the Marianne bit.
It's hard to say R2 is better than R1, just because it's the same plot. If there was a real break in it, maybe. Also, I wish Lelouch aged. :?

^ i thought that as well at first but its probably just referring to Nunnaly being found and made the new governor of Japan.

also notice that Britannia's base is called 'Pentragon'. I have to wonder if the staff of geass have something against the U.S =P
I thought at first that the resolution between Suzaku and Lelouch should have been more fleshed out but it really fits the drastic change in Suzaku the last few episodes.

He's completely come around to Lelouch's way of thinking (what I remember about the difference between the two at the beginning anyway) that results are what matter not really the process. Also Suzaku can scream that Lelouch killed Euphy all he wants but Suz killed Nunnally so they are the very least even on the pissed with each other scale. Also having all your dirty laundry aired right in front of him probably helped Suzaku feel somethign for Lelouch again.

Also I guess Karin gets to be 1st Knight since Suzaku is Knight zero. On that note I wonder if he will tell the world he was zero? Will he try to lay claim to the Chinese Federation as well? He could technically. They'd fight him but all the 11's would support him if he could prove he was Zero and their hero.

I don't think Karin will oppose them...but she could and might. But imho it will take both her and Suzaku in their shiny new mechs to take on the old knight of one.
I need to watch the episode a second time but after sleeping on it, I still really like it. I wonder what Schniezel has to counter with?

well in the OP, the Lancelot is upgraded like the Guren. So either the Black Knights with Scheziel will continue to fight him, or all of them will join up to blow up Jupiter. Remembering that Jupiter is in the OP.

Suzaku is all over the place, he may change sides yet again. I think this is a major flaw in the story. After re-reading an interview with the creators in a Newtype mag I have, I've come to the conclusion that what they tried to do with parallel thing with Suzaku and Lulu at the end failed. In the interview Lulu was portrayed as 'dark' while Suzaku as 'light', but now Suzaku wouldn't even be in a position of power without lulu. In essence............... blah whatever I'll just watch the next couple of episodes before continuing my line of thought.

Yeah remember last episode (or was it 2 ago?) Suzaku was asking about the upgraded Lancelot that was customized for him... I bet the doc will stick with the empire. He didn't seem too interested in the overthrow plan when he heard it.

Yes, but Brittania's homeland IS North America. It was stated in a lecture in Lelouch's class in one of the first ten episodes. The teacher was talking about how Brittania crushed the uprisings in its colonies, expanded them, and eventually moved Base of Operations there. It was the logical move, as they wouldn't be able to operate two continents effectively with the head an ocean away.

I don't know. Personally I think Suzaku is a far more interesting character now than he would have been if they went with the typical light/dark theme.

Btw, I loved the Marianne kicking bit when she appears before Lelouch.
