And yet, after a few eps of "oh, another loli/loli_with_guns show" it has grown on me. Started to quite like it. Especially Francesca Lucchini. Ahh, Lucchini~~~ x3

Interesting enough, this series has a chock full of WWII references and events. I heard even that panty-thieving episode was inspired on a real incident.

I would be lying if I said I had a problem with panty scenes :)

But I must admit, this series while a fun series, seems to have gone a little out of it's way to have girls that never seem to want to put on a dress or a skirt or shorts or pants. I mean, it's funny seeing the girls in shirt, tie, sweater or jacket and undies not even remotely covered.

Not that it's showing anything you wouldn't see at the beach, because panties are really just bikini swimsuit bottoms when you think about it. It's just the idea that you are not "supposed" to see a girls underwear normally. And yet they all walk around like wearing anything other than panties below the waist would be odd.

Interesting world. And I find all the modified nation names all amusing too.
The Japanese sure are good at cosmetically fudging details like that :)

I like how they refer to the undies as "pants" in episode 7.
From this, I think it's clear that no one feels it strange that they wear nothing over them at all.

What's peculiar, is how a girl can be a military officer, and standing in a military uniform tunic complete with military trappings the cap the whole deal, giving a formal report in front of serious faced old men.

And she's standing there in her underwear clearly visible below the waist as if there's nothing wrong about it :)

It sure isn't THIS world :) Even if they alude to it with all the place names like Britannia and Europe.

These ain't panty flash scenes after all, it's all the ever wear.
Man it would be awesome to be a teenage boy in that world I would think.
