When I resize it gets all screwed up.

Ok, so I downloaded some anime (Blah blah w/e) and it is at 1280 by 720. I am trying to resize it to 704 by 396, but when I do the lines and edges getter all pixelated.

How do I fix this?

Resize anything from its original resolution to something drastically smaller/bigger, like you're doing, and the results won't be pretty.

And for a fix I recommend buying DVDs. :|

My guess is because you're resizing to a resolution that isn't mod16. Try either 848x480 or 640x360. The AR of 848x480 is slightly off, but it's not really noticeable.
... yea ...
