I've reviewed several of my own videos and tried to be as critical as possible. Here are some examples...

Good Okay, good choice in music. The song really has a western feel to it and could have really encompassed the feel of Trigun and Vash well under normal circumstances. Video and audio quality were decent. Some editing was okay at times. The ending was somewhat humorous.

Bad Bad! Bad! Bad scene selection! This video could have been pretty good with scenes from more than just the first episode. Some parts of the video just had running footage that had nothing to do with the music other than a lull in the beats. Too many unentertaining moments gave this vid a very boring feel to it at times. Also, this song is commonly used in AMV's so originality suffers for it.

General Overall, lack of entertaining footage killed what could have been a pretty good video. This song, matched with Trigun, had loads of promise but none of it was delivered, with the possible expection of the funny ending. In it's current form it's just way too lackluster and dull to recommend (I hate being hard on myself but sometimes tough love is needed to get my ass in gear).

Good Okay, as hard as it is to try and come up with some good points about this one, I'll give it a try. I think I did a decent job with the editing. Action scenes, for the most part, matched up well with the music and the opening sequence was well synched with the beginning of the song. Sound quality was audible and not overtly bad. Eventhough it was "another DBZ video" , the footage was not as common as most DBZ vids use and gave it some sense of originality. The concept had a decent premise.

Bad The main problem with this video...QUALITY SUCKS!!! Video was pixelated to ridiculous measures and even had noticeable quality changes throughout the video. Also, Rob Zombie songs have become extremely overused and just further reinforce this video as the prototype DBZ AMV that so many people have grown to despise.

General Overall, very average video (I know I'm being hard on myself but it's true!). The concept for something good was there but the source footage stripped away any hope of making this video stand out from the many it so blatantly resembles. Remember this...Windows Movie Maker will be your demise!

I've never given myself all 10's on any of my vids but now that I think about it....I probably should since my average sucks. :?

Now if the video has 3 reviews only and lands in top 10%, why the frell are you complaining! Opinionate the damn thing and drag the idiot noob back down! ^_^

I do that sometimes... heh heh

Yeah, I've done it a few times as well, though I do try to be as honest and helpful as possible with my reviews, even toward those individuals I am "bothered" by. However, a lot of times one can't review a video in the top 10% that has 3/4 reviews simply because it isn't available for download. Yet, this goes back to an earlier thread about the problems with the Top 10% list. In someways it would be nice if there was a seperate Top 10% list, or at least a filter for videos that are actually available for download.
