The size for me doesn't determine how much fun I'm going to have (this year's Katsu is hands down the most fun I've ever had at a con), but to go from Katsucon in 2002 with only some odd hundred people to a convention center with thousands and thousands, on top of endless walking was definitely a moment for me.Ileia wrote:NightMistress85 wrote:Is it your first con or your first Otakon? If not, your first con, how big were your other ones? Otakon dwarfs most of them out there.
First Otakon, I've been to AWA twice and ACen twice.
The size of the con really means nothing to me, I only go to AMV-related stuff anyway.
I have a friend that's been trying to get me to go to ACen for years now, but I can't really justify the commute with two cons (medium and large) right in my backyard and perfectly spaced apart. I "con" semi-annually to keep the experience fresh and fun. AMV's are definitely a staple of any con I attend though.

I'm game for at least starting the process. To my knowledge, historically this seems to happen at the UNO's on the Baltimore Waterfront on the Thursday when Pre-Registration is going on. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?Parodic Productions wrote:Anyone interested in doing the AMV dinner this year?
