AMV United

Postby Cloud_bg » Fri Nov 15, 2002 8:50 pm

First excuse me form my bad english but I am from country in east Europe ( Bulgaria ) and I dont speak very well.
My idea is to be created a video by the 10 or 20 of the best AMV makers.
The idea is simple. U meet here in the forum and decide which be the song and the anime. If the song is over 3:00 min or somethnig everyone of you is taking 30 or 15 seconds from the song and make the best of him!
The turn of every person will show his nickname and studio while the movie is playing, and if it will be a dynamic song it will be very cool.
Everyone will make 20 sec with the same or similiar anime and at end someone will link them and finish the almost completed video.
Hope you catch the idea becouse of my bad english I cant explain it very well:((((((

No, you explained it quite well.

In a way, you want to see something like the DDR Projects, but instead of everyone getting a whole song to use, they'd get a part of one song.

It's an interesting thought, and perhaps worth pursuing if no one's thought of it already.

The DDR project is a large group of rather good AMV creators who take the DDR audio tracks and make vids to them. They then show this giant megamix at cons and such. I belive you can get the whole project on several cds, or one giant DVD from the amv Distro.

To me it sounds like a hybrid of the DDR Project and AWA's own Ironchef. In fact it does sound interesting as an idea albiet hard to coordinate. But if there is someone who is willing to try and coordinate the project I say go for it, it sounds interesting.

Your idea sounds good but wouldn't work, why? Well unless you make a brainless violence video how would you continue the storyline? People have very different ideas about things... try to make a coherent story by getting 20 stories combined into one ... hard if not impossible.

Hey! Leave the Bulgarian man alone. It's a good idea, but it's not going to turn out like doki doki's hybrid theory video, okay?! I think there would have to be a few days of planning, and also, I think the first few seconds should over lap the last persons section of time, and just make those seconds kindof pointless. That way, when you splice them togethor, it'll run somoothly.

I didnt say that it will be easy. That why I wont cast in this, becouse I am a rookie in AMV making ( check my videos - Kiss from a rose and Frame Runner ). Thats why I think that the best makers must do it.

Violence - yes, but why brainless. With one aggresive song it will be. The idea is to creat a candy for the eye and with expirience hands it will more than amazing. The difference in styles can be avoided with good cordination between the makers.
I still hope that someone would like to take the iniciative in his hands. Someone Administrator or Moderator. Becouse no one takes me very seriosly.
